NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARINGS
FINCASTLE PLANNING COMMISSION/
FINCASTLE TOWN COUNCIL
The Fincastle Town Council and Fincastle Planning Commission will hold public hearings during their regular meetings on Thursday, July 9, 2020, at the Old Botetourt County Courthouse Board Room, located at 5 West Main Street, Fincastle, Virginia 24090. The Planning Commission will have a public hearing at 6:00 p.m., and the Town Council will have a public hearing at 7:00 p.m. The purpose of the hearings is to solicit input on the following items:
Proposed amendments to the Town of Fincastle Subdivision Ordinance. Proposed amendments to Section 21-67 (b), parts (1), (2), and (4), regarding review of the preliminary plat for a subdivision. The proposed amendments include a mandatory review of the preliminary plat for a major subdivision by the Planning Commission.
Due to the Covid-19 Health crisis, social distancing and other safe practices will be in place at this meeting. Please bring a face mask to protect others. Individuals are encouraged to submit comments prior to the meeting in lieu of attendance, by calling the Town offices, sending written comments to P.O. Box 250, Fincastle, Virginia, or emailing town staff at email@example.com.
The full text of proposed amendments is available for review both online at and at the Town of Fincastle offices located at 25 Bank Square, Fincastle, Virginia, on Mondays through Thursdays between 9:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. Individuals who require assistance or special arrangements to participate in or attend Town Council meetings should contact the Secretary to the Town Council at (540) 473-2200 at least 48 hours in advance.
