Public Hearings, Town Council, May 13, 2020






The Fincastle Town Council and Fincastle Planning Commission will hold public hearings during their regular meetings on Thursday, May 13, 2021, at the Old Botetourt County Courthouse Board Room, located at 5 West Main Street, Fincastle, Virginia 24090. The Planning Commission will have a public hearing at 6:00 p.m., and the Town Council will have a public hearing at 7:00 p.m. The purpose of the hearings is to solicit input on the following items:


  • Proposed amendments and additions to the Town Code regarding General Business Rules and Regulations and Development Rules and Regulations for water and sewer services.


  • Proposed amendments to Section 21-26.1, Off-site improvements, of the Town of Fincastle Subdivision Ordinance, to require that off-site water and sewer improvements and erosion and sediment control and stormwater runoff comply with applicable Town and County Codes, and allow for future apportioning of off-site costs between developers per Va. Code §15.2-2243.  


Due to the Covid-19 Health crisis, social distancing and other safe practices will be in place at this meeting.
