Covid 19 Resources and information for local businesses

The coronavirus (Covid 19) has affected and will continue to affect, everyday life not only in Fincastle and Southwest Virginia, but around the country and the world.  It has limited personal interactions, social activities,  travel, leisure, and commercial and industrial operations. Right here in Fincastle, your business has likely felt the effect of social distancing and other regulations, both state and Federal, that could likely limit the scale and of business operations, and in many cases, whether or not your business can even be open for normal business.


We understand the struggles you are going through right now, and can empathize with your situation. Your business is an important part of the Town, and a part of what makes Fincastle unique. With this in mind, we would like to direct you to potential sources of financial relief for businesses that have been negatively affected by the coronavirus. Please find below some helpful links to some organizations that could offer financial assistance.

Covid-19 Business Assistance Funds Available To Prevent Layoffs
Roanoke, VA – Virginia Career Works – Blue Ridge will be awarding grant funding to a limited number of small businesses in our region to help prevent layoffs during the COVID-19 emergency. Small businesses of less than 250 employees in the counties of Alleghany, Botetourt, Craig, Franklin and Roanoke and the cities of Covington, Roanoke and Salem are eligible to apply.
